Up early, again, having passed out in front of the Watchmen last night. This is the second time I've only made it 20 minutes into the film before surrendering to narcolepsy. Is this a silent review?
Sitting in my kitchen, pondering the day ahead. i'm thinking about getting my pitch in to do the Camden fringe in august,  and the songs and videos i want to do.
Mainly I'm thinking about the album. Kev sent me a great CD for Xmas, the horrors new album, which you need to listen to from start to finish in order to appreciate how well they set tone across the album.
Nowadays we have the tendency to buy one or two tracks from an album, and then cast them into the abyss of songs that don't make our ipod playlists. Its the musical equivalent of grabbing a girls tits without having the decency to have a bit of a kiss first, then fucking her off for her slacker mate.
Is worth the effort to listen start to finish, to get an idea of what the band were trying to achieve. Fugazi's new album is a good example, as is Kasabians. Both take you on a journey, that makes sense, and are a lot more satisfying than listening to half of one song, skipping to another, then onto half a James Brown track so you can bob your head a bit.
Fuck I'm old.
