English radio (radio 5) reported on the stunned disbelief in Daley plaza, which swiftly turned to a discussion of how corrupt and violent Chicago is, and how it was probably best that the Olympics didn't go there. Then reported how life sentences were handed down today to two people who kicked a father to death in Staffordshire. Just as well Staffs didn't make a bid then.
